Brief sea watch

A very brief seawatch afeter the winds and tides of yesterday (high water mark above!) showed that a lot of gulls, again including Kittiwakes, were on the move, mostly north.

Common Gull

A Common Swift also few north along the cliff-face, but I shan't report it, for fear of ridicule. Ok, it should be a Leach's Petrel, and I'd like to claim that tick, but it wasn't - no white showing (not even a Pallid Swift) and - basically - I know a Swift when I see one :-)

Good to see the local Stonechats were still around, despite the noise of (belated) fireworks on the beach last night.

Hi Steve, that kittiwake is a Common Gull. Hope you don't mind.
