Wow, you were so lucky to see those waxwings. I tried for them today, but alas, not a bird in sight. Ah well, there's still one month or so to find one...

Hard luck Ben - I've seen them each morning in the gloom this week, but they seem to commute between B&Q and the industrial estate.

RW, your John Milton quote (just one of your many excellent snippets) stimulated me to find that one - now I intend to read Paradise Lost at last.
Incidentally, my daughter went to the same college as Milton, where there remains a large Mulbery tree under which he sat while writing.
